Charles Darwin and His Evolutionary Theory
On this wesite I want to present some very interesting and stunning facts about the evolutionary biologist CHARLES ROBERT DARWIN.
I know that probably almost everybody has heard something about Darwin and his great impact on evolutionary theory. However, it is not my goal to just reproduce some facts that people are already familiar with. I rather want to point out some very interesting things that people might not know yet. You will be surprised to find out some details about Darwin's Life, Darwin's Theory as well as Darwin's Impact.
The picture above was taken by myself when I was on a field trip in the Everglades National Park, Florida last year. I chose it as a kind of a cover picture throughout the whole website. It shows quite convincingly that there is a great variation within one species, something Darwin had postulated in his theory of Natural Selection. One example for this variation, which you can clearly see on the picture, are the different colored feathers. I changed this image for two of my subpages as it seemed to me quite convenient to do so in those specific cases as you will see.
